Dr. Spirtos is a graduate of the University of Chicago and of the Northwestern University Medical School. His residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology was at the University of Southern California and he completed a Fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Spirtos has authored numerous publications in gynecologic cancer and is an international pioneer and authority in techniques of laparoscopic surgery as it relates to the care of women with pelvic cancer. He is the Principal Investigator for the Women's Cancer Center in the Gynecologic Oncology Group and a member of the Ovarian Cancer and Membership Committees. Dr. Spirtos is widely regarded for his expertise in the surgical management of reproductive cancer.
